About us

ABOUT

The Luis Palau Evangelistic Association (LPEA) is encouraging multi-church volunteer projects to help Portland-area communities (this is called the "Season of Service," click here for an Oregonian newspaper story about it).  Some of the churches are sponsoring medical and dental clinics for those who can't afford medical care.  This is one of those projects (click here for other medical/dental outreaches in the Portland area for 2008).

Our event is modeled after the Compassion Rockwood event which for the past three years has served hundreds of people in the Gresham area. We plan to offer basic dental and optical care, the opportunity to network with multiple social service and legal aid agencies, seminars, chiropractic services, full children’s program, and lunch. Our desire is to demonstrate the love that God has for people and help to make changes that can last a lifetime.

For 2008, there were four Compassion outreaches planned (Rockwood, SE Portland, Canby, & Westside).  Going forward, a non-profit group will be formed for the umbrella of these outreaches.  Click here to see the website (under development).
